The House Advantage
Many people claim to have roulette systems that beats the house. That is not true, the house has a mathematical advantage on every spin and therefore it is impossible to beat the house at roulette in the long term. Several systems may allow the player to win for a certain period of time, but in the long run, sadly the casino will always have an edge.
On a single 0 roulette wheel the house advantage is approximately 2.7%. On a double 0 roulette wheel the house advantage is a whopping 5.26%. (7.9% when players make a 5 number bet).

Apart from the 5 number bet, the casino has a fixed edge no matter what you bet on. Therefore there is no strategy that will increase the odds in your favor. All one can do is hope that they are lucky enough in the short run to win money from the casino. The various payouts on a European roulette wheel are as follows:

Two number split – 17 to 1
Dozen – 2:1
Odd/even – 1:1
High/low – 1:1
